SUP stands for "stand-up paddleboarding," a marine activity that has become popular overseas and is slowly gaining popularity in Japan as well. At first glance, SUP may sound difficult, but don't worry!The use of large, stable sap boards allows people of all ages, from children to the elderly, to experience the sport.

First, advance preparation. What to bring?
All you need to bring to participate in the Iriomotejima Sap Tour is a towel and clothes you don't mind getting wet!Life jacket, special shoes, paddle, and SUP board will be lent to participants of the SUP tour for free. We also provide various rental items such as waterproof phone case for those who want to take pictures of Iriomote Island memories by themselves, rash guard for protection against cold and sunburn, snorkeling set and peep show glasses for those who want to observe fish while sap, etc. Please feel free to contact us!
We may not be able to meet your requests during peak season, but basically, if you tell us where you want to SUP (e.g., in the ocean, at sunset, cruise through mangrove forests, etc.), we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

6:30 assemble
Since sunrise in Iriomote Island is early in the morning, a nature guide will pick you up at your hotel (*for hotels near Uehara Port).
6:45 Preparation and transportation
Upon arrival, life jackets, paddles, and shoes will be provided free of charge. Follow the instructor's instructions and put them on correctly. We will then move through a little jungle to the beach. It is still dimly lit, so move carefully.
6:55 SUP Lecture
Here you will receive a lecture on the basic movements of the sap. Make sure you learn how to move forward, change direction, brake, etc. Don't worry, sap is surprisingly easy to operate. If you have any questions, we will teach you right away!
7:00 SUP start! Start with practice!
Once you have learned the basic movements of SUP from the lecture, it's time to learn them with your body. It takes about 10 minutes to get used to it, and from there it's easy! Anyone can operate the SUP freely.
7:15 Now it's time to go into the mangroves!
After the practice, let's proceed immediately into the mangroves of Iriomote Island. Once in the mangrove, you will experience a different atmosphere from that of the sea.The lush mangroves, chirping birds, and the jungle of Iriomote Island, a veritable subtropical island, will be cruised through slowly with saps.
The mangrove forest is like a natural athletic activity! The morning breeze while cruising on a SUP is the best.
7:35 The waterfall is just ahead! Mini trekking!
After passing through the natural athleticism of the mangroves, you will reach a shallow area where you cannot go on a SUP. From there, you will go on a mini-trek through the rocky terrain, a light 5-10 minute trek that will take no time at all. You will see rare creatures and oddly shaped plants as you slowly make your way through the jungle! Our nature guide will tell you more about the various plants and animals, so please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
7:45 Arrive at a secluded waterfall!
Finally, we arrived at the unexplored waterfalls of Iriomote Island!This waterfall has been the talk of the town and has even been featured on TV! You will be impressed by the clear stream that flows endlessly from the deep green cliffs! Please come and experience it for yourself!Feel the overwhelming power of nature of Iriomote Island! There are many attractions such as a waterfall basin where various fish swim, and a vine that can accommodate up to 10 people like a swing. 7:55 Enjoy various ways to ride home!
After enjoying the waterfall, return the way you came. By this time, you will be accustomed to the maneuvers you struggled with on the way there, and you will be able to do them freely. Since we are here, let's try various ways of riding the sap! You can enjoy riding the sap in ways that only the sap can offer, such as standing up, sitting cross-legged on the sap, sitting on a gym chair, and finally lying down on the sap. If you can afford it, we also recommend doing simple yoga poses on the sap.
