    西表製糖工場とは

    西表島大原港から徒歩15分くらいのところにある、黒糖を作る工場です。

    2015年3月に建て替えられました。製糖工場の周りは甘い香りが漂っており、製造した黒糖を使用した『とらや』の羊羹を店頭で購入をすることもできます。

     

    西表製糖工場での遊び方

    西表島の黒糖は、ピーチパインやマンゴーなどと同様に人気のグルメです。

    工場が稼働する冬期（12月～3月ごろ）は、工場の店頭で『とらや』の羊羹が購入可能です。

    また、スーパーや大原港にもお土産用の黒糖が販売されているので、ぜひお土産に買っていってくださいね。
