Iriomote Island - Nakama River
仲間川とは
マングローブの流域面積日本一を誇る大きな川で、遊覧ボートやカヤックでのぼることができ、アクティビティスポットとしても人気があります。
The river is over 200 meters wide near its mouth, and the view of the magnificent river and mangroves from the Nakama Bridge is exceptional.
Mangrove forests cover approximately 300 hectares on both banks of the river, the largest in Japan, and are designated as a national natural monument.
仲間川での遊び方
仲間川では遊覧船で行くマングローブクルーズでの観光が一般的。
仲間川の上流には樹齢約400年と言われているサキシマスオウノキが見られたり、ヤエヤマヒルギ、オヒルギ、メヒルギなどのマングローブの木を見ることができます。
また、離島周遊ツアーなどでYubu Island (Hiroshima-Nagoya Island)とセットのプランなどが人気です。
