中野海岸とは

西表島 上原地区の中野集落の入口に位置するビーチで、Uehara Portから車で5分程度の車道からの脇道を入っていく到着します。

脇道の細さと対象的に、思ったよりも開放感のある海岸は満足度抜群。

港のそばのMaruma Beachはちょっと狭く、月が浜（トゥドゥマリの浜）はビーチがあまりきれいではなく、Star Sand Beachは観光客だらけ…ということで、バランスの取れたこの中野海岸はビーチでゆっくりしたい方にはオススメです。

また、沖合はメジャーなダイビングスポットで、見事なサンゴの群落がみられます。

白砂のビーチが海岸線に沿って続くビーチの為、海水浴や散策、貝殻探しなどがおすすめ。

冬は北風をもろに受けるので中野海岸の海水浴はおすすめできません。
