鳩間島の大きめの浜で、砂浜も広く、シーズンになると結構混雑します。
北部の浜とは違い波が緩やかなため、水浴びやシュノーケリングには最適の場所です。

景色も良く、西表島を望むことができる上に夕陽を堪能できるポイントでもあります。
