戦死者・マラリア死亡者慰霊の碑とは

鳩間島の港のターミナルの左手、フェリー発着桟橋の裏手の駐車場の奥にひっそりあります。

米軍の機銃掃射による戦死者、悪性マラリアによる病死者、栄養失調によりマラリアが再発した病死者等、100名を超える戦争が原因の死亡者を慰霊する碑で、平成元年6月に建立されました。
