What is the Uenukā (upper river)?

It is located on the way from Hatoma Port on the south side of the island to Hatoma Nakamori, the site of a watch tower in the center of the island.

It is located behind "Marutai," an old private house guest house with a red-tiled roof.

It used to be a source of water for the island, but it is no longer used, the grass is growing, the location of the well is not readily apparent, and it is somewhat dangerous.

As you approach, you will find the remains of an old well and a water-drawing station built with stone walls.
