Mangrove Kayak & Trekking TourEnjoy kayaking and trekking in the largest mangrove in the country! We will guide you to the best areas according to weather and temperature.
The main field is the Nakama River, a treasure trove of life. You will go through a tunnel in the forest that only a kayak (canoe) can go through, where sightseeing boats cannot go.
Experienced guides will guide you!
The guide will fully support you during the tour. During the low tide, let's go ashore to the mudflats and look for Iriomote Island's unique creatures such as the Southern Flying Goby and the Southern Comet Crab together!
It boasts the largest mangrove watershed area in Japan!
Guide to Nakama River (Nakama River)It is a large river boasting the largest mangrove basin area in Japan, and is a popular activity spot where you can go up by pleasure boat or kayak.
The river is over 200 meters wide near its mouth, and the view of the magnificent river and mangroves from the Nakama Bridge is exceptional. Mangrove forests cover approximately 300 hectares on both banks of the river, the largest in Japan, and are designated as a national natural monument.
Children and beginners are welcome☆.
After a paddling lecture and instruction on how to operate the kayak, we will head for the mangrove river.
You can enjoy the experience at your own pace while you slowly familiarize yourself with the program.

The tranquil scenery of the Nakama River as we kayaked along was truly beautiful, and we were able to experience nature that we would not normally be able to see. It was also fun that the guide led us to look for living creatures on the mudflats. The trekking took us through the subtropical jungle and we were impressed by the spectacular riverside scenery. Lunch was delicious and we spent a fulfilling day. This is a great tour for families as it is safe and enjoyable even for beginners.
