Jungle Trekking Tour

This is a trekking tour to walk through the subtropical jungle and reach the summit of Komi-dake (469.5m), the highest peak in Iriomote Island.

If you like Iriomote Island and trekking, you should climb "Komi-dake", the highest peak in Iriomote Island, at least once!

What is the level of difficulty?

The difficulty level of this course is for beginners!

The difference in elevation is only about 250 meters, but there are many ups and downs and a few river crossings.

As in any mountain, you will not be walking on a well-maintained trail, so you will need to walk carefully overhead to avoid hitting your head on a branch or foot so as not to catch your foot on a root or other obstacle.

Yutun Waterfall

The famous "Yutun Waterfall" has a drop of about 35 meters and is made up of three tiers. The Yutun River itself is not long and not wide, but after it rains, the three-tiered Yutun Falls are very powerful!

From the top of the 250-meter-high waterfall, which is higher than Pinaisara Falls, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the jungle and the colorful coral reefs and cobalt blue waters at the mouth of the Yutun River and along the coast.

Transportation

Ishigaki IslandIf you are coming from the "To Uehara Port, Iriomote IslandPlease purchase a boarding ticket for the "K" LINE and come to the Uehara Port. We will pick you up at Uehara Port.

Iriomote Island (Okinawa)Transportation is available for those who live in the western and some parts of the eastern region of the country. All others will need to use a rental car or other means of transportation and meet at the site.

Special note 》

*Squalls sometimes fall on Iriomote Island, so if you wear a swimsuit under your rash, you can rest assured that you will not get wet at any time.

*A regular rain kappa is useful during the winter months. It can also be used as warm clothes. (In summer, a simple rain coat will do.)

*Others: You can enjoy the experience more if you have a waterproof camera or a smartphone in a waterproof case at your own risk. However, please be careful not to submerge your phone in water or drop it.

*The weather in Iriomote Island is changeable and the weather forecast is not very accurate. Since there are many squalls, most of the tours will be held as usual even if it rains. If we have to cancel the tour due to stormy weather, we will call you as soon as possible, but please understand that it may be cancelled on the morning of the tour.
