初めての西表島、お天気にも恵まれマングローブ林？森？をカヌーで回ったりおいしい！お弁当（←これ大事）をいただいたり、鍾乳洞の中をヘルメットをぶつけながら歩いたり…島の魅力のほんの一部なのでしょうけれど、とっても満喫できました。 そしてガイドのKENさんの島に関するお話が楽しく、島への愛が伝わってきてこちらも幸せな気持ちになりました。参加したら皆さん、西表島が好きになりますよ＾＾
体力にあまり自信がなく、1日コースということもあって少し不安でしたが、休憩を挟みながらペースを合わせてくださったので初心者でも大丈夫でした。マングローブカヌーの静寂と、鍾乳洞の神秘的な空間にすっかり魅了されました。
西表島は何度か訪れていますが、ケイビングは今回が初めての挑戦でした。ヘッドライトの明かりだけを頼りに真っ暗な鍾乳洞を進むのは探検家になった気分でワクワクしました！定番のマングローブカヌーもやっぱり最高ですね。何度来ても新しい発見がある島だと改めて感じました。
手付かずの自然が残るジャングルを歩き、手探りで進む鍾乳洞探検は非常に本格的でやりがいがありました。マングローブカヌーも静寂に包まれており、都会の喧騒を忘れることができます。ガイドの方の説明も丁寧で分かりやすく、充実した1日を過ごすことができました。
ケイビングとSUPのセットでした。鍾乳洞は本格的で楽しめました。ガイドの安全管理も適切です。着替えの場所が少し手狭だったのが気になりましたが、概ね満足です。
SUPでの川下りから鍾乳洞探検まで、非日常を味わえる。ケイビングはスリルがあり、大人でも十分に楽しめる内容。ガイドの安全管理もしっかりしていた。
