Exploring natural limestone caves (caving) tourVisitors will explore limestone caves that have not been lit up or maintained in their natural state.
You will feel like an adventurer when you wear a helmet and a light. Enjoy the great nature while observing plants and animals found in the forests of Iriomote Island along the way!
Families with children are welcome to participate!
The course is safe for ages 6 and up, but safety is a top priority and all participants must be fully equipped.
Helmets, lights, gloves, shoes, and other equipment are all available for rent free of charge.The tour is OK as long as you come in comfortable clothing!
Exploration of limestone caves (caving)
Iriomote Island was formed by coral uplift,What was once the sea long ago is now a limestone cave.The spectacle, which took hundreds to thousands of years to form, is breathtaking.
Going through a series of large, medium, and small limestone caves is sure to be a very different and exciting experience! Let's have a superb and extraordinary experience of Iriomote Island!
You can also see various other trees unique to the subtropical zone, such as the leaves that Totoro used as umbrellas on rainy days and the leaves from Jurassic Park, which are only found on Iriomote Island in Japan.

Even if you know these limestone caves exist, it is impossible to go there by yourself. They are dangerous and I don't know where they are in the first place. I thought this tour would just take me to the place and explain it to me, but to my surprise, the stories were interesting and they even took pictures, making it a very enjoyable tour. I was told that there were several guides who were even better than him, which made me think that this is a terrible company. Due to our itinerary, the tour was during the hottest part of the day or first thing in the morning (lol), but we enjoyed it without getting exhausted thanks to our energetic and well-spoken guide. I wanted to buy cut pineapples and mangoes at an unmanned store! I also appreciate the tour guide's thoughtfulness in taking the time to make a side trip to meet my request to buy cut pineapples and mangoes at an unmanned shop. The quality of a tour depends on the personality of the guide. During the busy season, the guides are usually tired, and the tours tend to be manual, time-consuming, and a work-as-you-go type of tour, but the tour we took this time was at a god level. Thanks to the warm and attentive service, we were able to make really good memories and also feel as if we had shared our energy. When I visit Iriomote Island again, I would like to participate in the tour by all means.
