Mangrove forests cover approximately 300 hectares on both banks of the river, the largest in Japan, and are designated as a national natural monument.

Riding on a buffalo cart to Yubu Island
Ishigaki IslandThere is no direct access to Yubu Island from Iriomote Island, and it can be reached on foot or by buffalo car from Iriomote Island.
