Iriomote Island, Yubu Island, Taketomi Island 3-island tour

This is a one-day tour to Iriomote Island, called "Galapagos of the East" and registered as a World Heritage site, Yubu Island, which is crossed by a buffalo cart, and Taketomi Island, which has beautiful beaches and villages with the original landscape of Okinawa.

Accompanied by an escort, even first-time visitors can feel at ease!

Mangrove cruise on the Nakama River

First, we will take a mangrove cruise on the Nakama River, which boasts the largest mangrove watershed area in Japan.

The river is over 200 meters wide near its mouth, and the scenery of the magnificent river and mangroves is exceptional. Various species of mangroves can be seen, including Yaeyamahirugi, Ojirugi, and Mekirugi.

Sightseeing in Yubu Island

A buffalo cart will take you to Yubu Island. While crossing the island, you can listen to the stories of the staff and listen to the sanshin (Okinawan traditional three-stringed instrument) as you leisurely make your way across the island.

Yubu Island is one of the remote islands belonging to the Yaeyama Archipelago and is small, with a circumference of 2.15 km and a population of only a dozen people. Enjoy your precious time in the historic Yubu Island by taking a leisurely stroll and observing the flora and fauna.

Taketomi Island Sightseeing

Take a high-speed boat to Taketomi Island, which is full of different charms from Ishigaki Island, and enjoy free time to explore. Popular buffalo cart sightseeing can be added as an option.

◆Transportation for a maximum of 2 persons, including caregivers and caregivers (companions) is possible.
It takes about 10-15 minutes on foot from the buffalo cart stop to Taketomi Port.

Q. Is it possible to disband at Ohara Port or the buffalo cart terminal?

You can also disperse at Ohara Port and the buffalo cart terminal. The return ferry ticket is an open ticket with no specified date and time, so it can be used on any day other than the day of the tour.

Please inform us of your intention to leave the group at the buffalo car stop when you make your reservation.

Q. Is it possible to meet at Ohara Port on the day of the tour?

You can meet the ferry at Ohara Port. Before crossing to Ohara Port, please complete the necessary procedures at the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry Reception Counter in Ishigaki Port Remote Islands Terminal.

We would also appreciate it if you could indicate your Iriomote IN/OUT date, date of participation, and accommodation when you make your reservation.

In Iriomote Island, we took a mangrove cruise ship 💓The captain's guide was very interesting 😆After that, when we took a sightseeing bus, the person who was the captain of the ship before drove the sightseeing bus as well, which made me laugh out loud! I laughed so hard 😆. From Iriomote Island to Yubu Island, we crossed on a buffalo while listening to shamisen music! I enjoyed the scenery like a cover of a pamphlet of remote islands! I traveled to Yaeyama in winter. The purpose of the trip was to take a buffalo cart to Yubu Island, and I was happy to be able to ride on it. The wind, rain and cold were more than I expected, but by the end of the trip, the weather recovered and I was lucky enough to see the sunset and the stars.

Iriomote Island was registered as a World Heritage Site, so I rushed to the island. There were a lot of people because of GW, but I was able to enjoy the island in my own way! Especially impressive was the mangrove! I felt the greatness of nature!

I joined the tour. The weather was very nice and we fully enjoyed the three islands tour, Iriomote Island, Yubu Island, and Taketomi Island! Since meals were included, I took my hat off to the driver who even guided us while driving the Nakama River mangrove sightseeing boat and the bus afterwards. There were many buffaloes and their personalities varied. I did not know which buffalo I would get, but they sang songs while playing the shamisen (a three-stringed musical instrument), and I enjoyed the Yaeyama sightseeing to the fullest.

After spending a relaxing time riding on a buffalo cart on Yubu Island while listening to the sound of sanshin (Okinawan traditional three-stringed instrument) and songs, After that, we could enjoy Taketomi Island freely by bicycle. Water buffaloes in Taketomi Island were also cute. We were given detailed and easy-to-understand explanations at the Ishigaki Port counter and at each spot, which was very nice.

It was cheaper than making individual arrangements because we were able to take a group of people to all the places we wanted to see. I don't like group tours, but it was a good choice because we had a guide to show us around so we didn't miss anything. It was a very nice trip, even though it was winter time, the weather was great.

My friend and I joined the tour. We were a little disappointed because it was cloudy, but we were healed by the slow time in Taketomi Island. Exploring Taketomi Island by rental bike...it was very enjoyable. I would definitely use this service again.

They pick you up and drop you off at your ANA hotel. We were very satisfied with the tour of Iriomote, Yubu, and Taketomi islands, and we were able to ride on the buffalo twice, and that too for a long time. (We were lucky because we were told that the buffalo of Taketomi was closed from the next day.) ) It was also nice that an old man sang to us while playing the sanshin (Okinawan three-stringed instrument) while we were riding the buffalo. The buffalo were cute. I was satisfied to be able to visit the three islands efficiently in one day.

Used on the second day of my trip to Ishigaki Island. I have been to Ishigaki Island many times but this was my first time to Taketomi Island, Yubu Island, and Iriomote Island. It was great that I could freely decide what time to take the return boat from Taketomi. And the first bullock cart was the best!
