Mangrove Canoeing & Jungle TrekkingThis plan includes a leisurely one-hour canoe ride on a mangrove river, followed by a 20-minute climb through the subtropical jungle to the unexplored "Sangala Falls"!
Sangala Falls
Sangara Falls is the most beautiful waterfall in Iriomote Island, and the view from inside the falls is too wonderful to describe.
There is plenty of time to experience canoeing, and the mountain climbing itinerary is easy and quick, so the whole family can participate with peace of mind.

Trekking ExperienceHalfway through the tour, we will disembark from the canoe and go on a short trek. The trekking is not very steep, and the time is short, so even small children can trek safely.
During the trekking, visitors can enjoy observing the flora and fauna of the subtropical jungle and mangroves!
Happy lunch with nature is included.
After arriving at Sangala Falls, it is time for the guide's special lunch over the falls!
This plan includes taking photos and videos of you in a canoe, commemorative photos of the waterfall, and flora and fauna. (The content of the photos and videos will be presented on a CD-ROM.)

Access to the site
Iriomote Island (Okinawa)Those staying the day before inWe will pick you up anywhere around Uehara Port in the western part of Iriomote Island. If you are in the eastern area or around Ohara Port, please come to Uehara Port by rental car.
Please note that we may not be able to pick up or drop off guests staying at the Pinumaya or Ecovillage depending on the content of the tour and the number of participants on that day. Please ask us by phone or e-mail.

Q. What is the difference between the two?What should I wear to the event?Please wear comfortable clothing that can get wet and is easy to move around in. Long sleeves and long pants made of material that is easy to dry and move in are recommended. Jeans are not recommended as they are hard to move in and absorb water, making them heavy.Please wear a swimsuit under your clothes in advance if you wish to swim in the waterfall basin.Q. I didn't expect to pull the canoe because of the high tide. The guide was very helpful in helping my husband when paddling and pulling the canoe.
