Let's go hiking in the World Heritage Iriomote Island!The short hikes are suitable for all levels of hikers, from young children to the elderly, even those who have never hiked before.
There are only a few trails to walk, and the jungle is not tiring, but it is a real jungle, so you will definitely be able to fully enjoy it!
Modama Pond
The surrounding area on the way to Modama Pond is surrounded by subtropical jungle.
A short distance away is a mountain stream and pond, where you can see fish swimming in the clear water. There is also a modama swing nearby that can be enjoyed by children and the elderly.
The unique flora and fauna of Iriomote Island await!
On the way, you can see clear streams and play by the water as well as in the jungle.
In Modama Pond, which is shallow with a maximum depth of 150 cm, families can enjoy not only swimming while wearing life jackets but also catching fish and river shrimps with nets (free rental).
Guides are available to assist you.
All guides are certified water rescuers. We give lectures slowly and carefully, and welcome everyone from small children to those who are not good swimmers!
