Coola Falls

It is said that the name "Koola" of Koola Falls means "to bring good luck," and the local people of Iriomote also come to visit the falls.

The mangrove river leading to Koola Falls is so narrow that it sometimes crosses the mangrove trees on both sides, forming an archway, and the vines straddle the mangrove river like a swing, creating a truly "athletic jungle.

Ｑ．沖縄県警公認のマル優（安全対策優良）認定業者とは？

沖縄県公安委員会（沖縄県警）が定める厳しい安全基準をクリアし、公的に「安心・安全のお墨付き」を受けたマリンレジャー事業者のことです（正式名称：安全対策優良海域レジャー提供業者）。

実は、沖縄県内に多数存在するマリン事業者のうち、「マル優」認定を取得できているのはわずか約3％（100社中3社ほど）です。

「マル優」認定を受けるには、現地の警察による厳格な審査・現場確認を通過する必要があり、以下のような高い安全管理体制が義務付けられています。

有資格者の配置（資格を持つガイドや水難救助員などの専門スタッフが常駐）
安全装備・設備の徹底（ライフジャケットの着用徹底、AEDや救命器具の常備など）
緊急時のサポート体制（万が一の事態に備えた迅速な連絡・救助体制の確立）

沖縄県内でも認定を取得している事業者は限られています。マリンアクティビティが初めての方やお子様連れのご家族でも、どうぞ安心してご参加ください。

Three parents and three children participated. Even my daughter, who is in the first grade of elementary school, was able to enjoy the tour. It was a 20-minute trek one way, waterfall viewing, and coffee break, but it was nice to relax in front of the waterfall in the morning. It was nice to wake up early in the morning and my daughter enjoyed the tour.
