What kind of island is Yubu Island?
Yubu Island is one of the Yaeyama Islands in Okinawa Prefecture and is a small island formed entirely of sand accumulated by ocean currents. The population living on the island is small, with less than 10 people, and the number of buffaloes is larger.

How to get to Yubu Island
Yubu Island can be crossed by buffalo car from the buffalo car terminal.
You can get to the boarding area by car or public bus from Uehara Port or Ohara Port in Iriomote Island.
(1) Board a ferry from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port.
(2) Approximately 35 minutes by car from Uehara Port to the south on Prefectural Route 135.
