沖縄県公安委員会（沖縄県警）が定める厳しい安全基準をクリアし、公的に「安心・安全のお墨付き」を受けたマリンレジャー事業者のことです（正式名称：安全対策優良海域レジャー提供業者）。

実は、沖縄県内に多数存在するマリン事業者のうち、「マル優」認定を取得できているのはわずか約3％（100社中3社ほど）です。

「マル優」認定を受けるには、現地の警察による厳格な審査・現場確認を通過する必要があり、以下のような高い安全管理体制が義務付けられています。

有資格者の配置（資格を持つガイドや水難救助員などの専門スタッフが常駐）
安全装備・設備の徹底（ライフジャケットの着用徹底、AEDや救命器具の常備など）
緊急時のサポート体制（万が一の事態に備えた迅速な連絡・救助体制の確立）

First, we were taken to the starting point by shuttle. Then we were given instructions on how to paddle the canoe and slowly made our way through the mangroves. I was nervous because it was my first time canoeing, but the guide who was in charge of us gave us a detailed lecture from the very beginning, and we were able to enjoy canoeing. On the day of the tour, the waves were rough, but the tour was not cancelled due to the fact that we were canoeing in the mangrove. I was looking for a tour of mangrove canoeing and Pinaisara above and below the Pinaisara Falls, and I happened to find this tour and booked it. While I was worried that the boat to Uehara was cancelled due to a one-day tour from Ishigaki, I was able to join the tour with peace of mind thanks to the careful contact with the tour guide. We canoed into the mangrove river from the ocean and arrived at Coola Falls in about an hour! It was a hot day, so it was nice to take a dip in the waterfall basin! The waterfall is small, but I was very satisfied because I could canoe and swim!
