沖縄県公安委員会（沖縄県警）が定める厳しい安全基準をクリアし、公的に「安心・安全のお墨付き」を受けたマリンレジャー事業者のことです（正式名称：安全対策優良海域レジャー提供業者）。

実は、沖縄県内に多数存在するマリン事業者のうち、「マル優」認定を取得できているのはわずか約3％（100社中3社ほど）です。

「マル優」認定を受けるには、現地の警察による厳格な審査・現場確認を通過する必要があり、以下のような高い安全管理体制が義務付けられています。

有資格者の配置（資格を持つガイドや水難救助員などの専門スタッフが常駐）
安全装備・設備の徹底（ライフジャケットの着用徹底、AEDや救命器具の常備など）

I was really glad to participate in this night canoe tour and see the night face of Iriomote Island. It was a fresh surprise to canoe in a mysterious atmosphere, different from the daytime activities. The canoe tour in Iriomote Island at night was truly a magical experience. The canoe gliding quietly on the surface of the water under the starlit sky offered us a special time that made us forget our daily life. Our family of four joined this plan, and we canoed in a two-person canoe with one daughter at a time. We were so nervous at first even as adults because we were paddling in the dark mangrove river, but the staff shined a light on us and made the tour safe and enjoyable. I participated in the night canoeing and was very impressed! The night was much darker than I had imagined and I was not sure if I would be able to go through such a place! I was so excited to see the jungle at night! I heard that if you point the light at the river, the fish jump, and it really is true. It was so powerful that it became the best experience in Iriomote Island.

When we arrived at the mangrove, it was pitch black and we entered the mangrove with only the lights we each had, and it was a magical world that you could only understand if you went there! Once inside the mangrove, there was no wind and the only sounds were those of animals and insects! The Milky Way seen from the mangrove was so beautiful and moving! A created environment? Where are we now? I was so excited from start to finish in this wonderful space that I couldn't tell if it was reality or a dream! We were so satisfied with the tour that we received a lot of great photos and gave them to us right away! Thank you so much!
