Meeting and Dismissal

For guests staying in the western area of Iriomote Island (Uehara, Nakano, Sumiyoshi, Urauchi, Hidate, Sonai, Shirahama, Funaura, and Takana areas), we can pick you up at your accommodation for free.

When disbanding, we can take you to Uehara Port or to your accommodations in Funaura or Takana.
However, please note that we are unable to send the tour to accommodations in Uehara, Nakano, Sumiyoshi, Urauchi, Hirauchi, Sonai, and Shirahama.

Notes for participants from Ishigaki Island

*If you are coming from Ishigaki Island, please take a high-speed boat from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port.

*The high-speed boat to Uehara Port may be cancelled in winter or on windy days due to waves. In such cases, you may take a ship bound for Ohara Port and come to Uehara Port from Ohara Port by a courtesy bus provided by the shipping companies (An-ei Kanko and Yaeyama Kanko Ferry).

*If you are joining the half-day tour (morning meeting) from Ishigaki Island on the day of the tour,Yaeyama Kanko Ferry 8:00 to Uehara PortPlease board the ship in the

＜In the event that the Uehara route is cancelled
(1) At the counter of Yaeyama Kanko Ferry at Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal,Boarding Ticket (E-ticket)and receive a bus ticket.
*Counter opens at 7:00 am.
*Boarding tickets (e-tickets) are not reserved seats, so if you are late in line at the counter, you may not be able to board the bus from Ohara Port to Uehara Port. Please be careful.

(2) Please board the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry departing at 7:30 a.m. bound for Ohara Port.
*If you are late in line at the pier, you may not be able to board a boat bound for Ohara Port. Please be careful.
The boat will arrive at pier 3 or 4 and boarding will begin 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

(3) Please take the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry bus from Ohara Port to Uehara Port.

Notes:Please be sure to purchase a boarding ticket (E-ticket) in advance on the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry website.The ride may be full on certain days. It may not be possible to board due to full occupancy on certain days.

Cancellation Policy

*The following cancellation fees will apply for cancellations for reasons attributable to the customer (illness, missed ship, change of plans, etc.).Please understand that we have to turn down other customers to secure reservations.

*No cancellation fee will be charged if the tour is cancelled due to typhoon or bad weather.

*Pinaisara Falls has an entry limit of 200 people per day and prior application is required. We will process the application on your behalf. When applying, information on the name and age of the representative, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and the names and ages of all accompanying persons is required. We ask for your cooperation in ensuring that no information is missing when making your reservation.

*If you wish to change your tour itinerary after completing the application process, you will need to reapply. Please note that any additional fees incurred will be the responsibility of the customer.

*There are two ports on Iriomote Island, Uehara Port and Ohara Port, about one hour apart, so please note that you will not be able to join the tour if you make a mistake.

Regarding the decision to cancel the tour.

*Tour cancellations will be determined as early as a few days prior to the tour and as late as the morning of the day of the tour.

*In the event of a sudden change in weather conditions during the tour, the tour may be cancelled or the course changed for safety reasons.

*There is no general hospital in Iriomote Island, but only a clinic, so in case of an accident, there is a possibility of emergency transportation to a hospital in Ishigaki Island. Therefore, during the period when all ferry services to Ishigaki Island are cancelled (Ohara and Uehara routes) after the typhoon approaches or passes, we will cancel the tour because we cannot take all possible measures in case of emergency even if the weather recovers.
